Purdue Boilermakers quarterback Robert Marve has had one of the most snakebitten careers of any college football player in recent memory. After tearing an ACL for the third time earlier this season against Notre Dame, many assumed his career was over. However, Marve is back practicing with the team and may be able to play on Saturday against Michigan.
Caleb TerBush has performed pretty well over the past few weeks, so he will be hanging onto the starting job for now. However, if TerBush struggles, against Michigan or another team later this year, it's possible that Marve could get back on the field. As of now, there are no plans to return to a quarterback rotation like the one the Boilermakers used during the 2011 season.
Through the first two games of the year against Eastern Kentucky and Notre Dame, Marve was 41-56 for 414 yards, four touchdowns and an interception.
