The Florida Gators will have linebacker Jelani Jenkins back in the lineup on Saturday against No. 4 LSU after Jenkins missed two games. The fourth-year junior broke his right thumb Sept. 8 at Texas A&M, and sat out Florida's wins over Tennessee and Kentucky.
Muschamp says Jenkins will "be able to play in all situations. ... If he can play, he can play. And that means he can play on first-and-10, he can play on third down. As we move forward, that's the way I would see it.''
Muschamp also said Jenkins spent the early part of the week in a non-contact jersey during practice, but that he'd go full contact before Saturday. Also, it's unclear if Jenkins will start or merely see some time in the lineup. According to a Miami Herald report, Jenkins had a pin removed from the broken thumb on Friday of last week while the Gators were on a bye.
