Week 6 of the college football season begins as the Arkansas State Red Wolves travel to Florida International for a Thursday night Sun Belt special.
Arkansas State (2-3) is looking to pull even in the conference after dropping their opener to Western Kentucky in Week 5. They had a short week to prepare before heading to South Florida to face an FIU team that was thoroughly handled last week at Louisiana-Lafayette, 48-20.
The enthusiasm surrounding the Arkansas State program with Gus Malzahn now at the helm has been tempered a bit, particularly after last week's loss. The Red Wolves managed to put up just 13 points against WKU. But they still possess one of the better rushing attacks in the country, averaging 239 yards per game during the month of September. FIU may provide an opportunity for the ASU offense to bust out, as the Panthers defense is ranked near the bottom of the FBS, giving up nearly 40 points each game.
Game time, TV channel: 7:30 p.m. ET, ESPNU
Point spread: Game is currently a pick 'em, with neither team favored
