Previewing a key Pac-12 battle this weekend between two schools currently ranked in the BCS top 25. Full Saturday TV schedule here.

The game may not draw the headlines, but the Pac-12 battle between No. 11 Oregon State and No. 14 Stanford has big national implications.

Whichever team wins this game could be in the driver's seat to reach the Rose Bowl if Oregon goes on to reach the National Championship. The loser could drop two or three rungs in the bowl pecking order.

As for the Beavers, a quarterback controversy came and passed last weekend. Sean Mannion began the year as the signal caller and was then forced to miss time with knee surgery. He returned two weekends ago and struggled, and coach Mike Riley immediately addressed the issue by naming Cody Vaz the permanent starter moving forward.

The Cardinal have also had quarterback issues following the departure of Andrew Luck. Josh Nunes is the new signal caller in Palo Alto and has been pretty inconsistent so far, although he's shown signs of improvement in recent weeks. When he plays well, Stanford normally wins. He'll face a tough OSU secondary this weekend.

Game time, TV channel: 3 p.m. ET, FOX

Online streaming video: No online stream of the game will be provided by any network.

Point spread: Stanford opened as a 5 1/2 point favorite, according to Odds Shark.
