Oregon's top quarterback, running back and free safety have all suffered injuries in one first half. UPDATE: Mariota's back.

Oregon starting quarterback Marcus Mariota left the game against Cal in the second quarter after suffering an injury in his left shoulder or collarbone area. The freshman staggered off the field while the Ducks lined up at the goal line, clearly in pain, with backup Brian Bennett rushing to take his place.

Based on how he landed before stepping out, it definitely appears to be an upper arm injury:

There's been no indication yet whether he'll be able to return, but he still appears to be in discomfort on the sideline. A trainer immediately rushed to where he sat on the bench and began checking his arm.

The good news for the Ducks is that Kenjon Barner was able to reenter the game with a heavily wrapped right hand. Safety Avery Patterson has yet to return from his knee injury.
