BCS computer rankings: Oregon closing on Notre Dame, Kansas State in Sagarin

Christian Petersen

Oregon is moving up. The Ducks climbed two spots this week toward the top.

There has been a considerable shake-up in this week's Sagarin ratings after the Alabama Crimson Tide's shocking loss at home to the Texas A&M Aggies.

Alabama has fallen to ninth in the ELO Chess portion of the ratings, which is what the BCS uses. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish now own the top spot, while Kansas State Wildcats rest comfortably in second. The Oregon Ducks, whom many experts believe should be in the National Championship Game, are undefeated and yet fifth in the rankings.

However, that's good news for Oregon fans who see their squad jumping two slots from last week.

The Florida Gators and Georgia Bulldogs are No.3 and 4 respectively to round out the top five.
