TCU Horned Frogs head football coach Gary Patterson denied rumors that he's interested in leaving TCU to be the next head coach of the Arkansas Razorbacks.
TCU Horned Frogs head coach Gary Patterson downplayed the rumor that Patterson is one of the leading candidates to take over as head coach of the Arkansas Razorbacks.
Patterson did his best to deny the rumor on Monday, saying that he doesn't "think there's anything to" the rumors that link him to Arkansas.
Patterson has served as TCU's head coach since 2000, and has led the Horned Frogs to a 115-34 record in that time. Under Patterson, TCU has gone 7-4 in bowl games, including a Rose Bowl win over the Wisconsin Badgers in 2011. TCU also has captured five conference titles under Patterson -- one Conference USA title and five Mountain West Conference titles.
Arkansas' program has been in turmoil ever since Bobby Petrino was fired in April, following a scandal that embarrassed both Petrino and the Arkansas program. The Razorbacks, thought to be a legitimate SEC contender coming into the season, are just 4-6 through their first 10 games this season.
