Florida State visits Maryland Saturday afternoon, and the No. 10 Seminoles (9-1, 6-1) can wrap up an ACC Atlantic Division title with their sixth straight win. Maryland (4-6, 2-4) can snap a four-game losing streak and keep alive hopes of getting to .500 on the year.
The Seminoles have held five opponents under 10 points, which does not bode well for the Maryland offense and quarterback Shawn Petty, a converted linebacker who has started twice after the Terps' first four signal callers were injured this year. Petty has turned the ball over five times in two starts.
Florida State has won five straight against Maryland and is 20-2 in the series. With a win in this game and a victory at North Carolina next week, Maryland can still qualify as bowl-eligible.
