Minnesota vs. Nebraska 2012 viewing guide: Previews, TV schedule and more

Gregory Shamus

Nebraska continues its march toward the Big Ten Championship Game against Minnesota on Saturday.

The No. 14 Nebraska Cornhuskers host the Minnesota Golden Gophers on Saturday afternoon at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, Neb.

The Cornhuskers control their own destiny in the Big Ten Legends Division. At 5-1, they're tied atop the standings with the Michigan Wolverines, but the 'Huskers own the head-to-head advantage by virtue of a 23-9 victory over the Wolverines on Oct. 27. As such, a win over the Gophers on Saturday and a victory over Iowa next weekend will clinch the division title for Nebraska, ensuring the 'Huskers of a spot in the conference championship game on Dec. 1 in Indianapolis.

Although the Gophers have stumbled to a 2-4 record in conference play, they still have something of their own to play for. After clinching bowl eligibility with a 17-3 victory over Illinois last week, the Gophers now have a shot at ensuring a winning season with a win over Nebraska this week or a victory over Michigan State in the regular-season finale.

Game time, TV channel: 3:30 p.m. ET, Big Ten Network

Point spread: Nebraska favored by 20.
