Chris Borland still hampered by hamstring injury, could miss game against Ohio State. UPDATE: Borland does appear to be out. Follow @SBNationCFB
Starting Wisconsin Badgers middle linebacker Chris Borland, second on the team in tackles and tackles for loss, could miss Saturday's game against undefeated Ohio State because he's still hampered by a hamstring injury, according to Jeff Potrykus of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Borland has been limited in practice this week and Wisconsin coach Bret Bielema said he would test the hamstring before the game Saturday to determine whether or not he'd play.
"He is OK," Bielema told the Journal Sentinel. "Now, each day he has gotten better. He is adamant that every day it feels better. A lot of times with an injury like that you get concerned if they start regressing and he hasn't regressed."
If Borland can't play, backup Marcus Trotter will start in his place.
Wisconsin comes into the game at 7-3 and 4-2 in the Big Ten. The Badgers are coming off a 62-14 win over Indiana last week. The team is tied with Penn State in the Big Ten Legends Division. Both teams trail undefeated Ohio State in the standings, but Ohio State is not eligible to play for the Big Ten title this season due to NCAA violations.
