Wide receiver Kenny Bell had nine receptions for 136 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Cornhuskers. Ameer Abdullah led Nebraska's rushing attack with 18 carries for 79 yards. Freshman running back Imani Cross added 10 carries for 19 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.
The Nebraska defense held Minnesota to just 11 first downs and 177 total yards of offense in the game. The Golden Gophers were 1-for-13 on third down and scored all their points in the fourth quarter with the game out of reach.
