Kansas State vs. Baylor score update: Bears take 21-7 lead in 2nd quarter

Stay connected with SB Nation

The Baylor Bears continue to stun the No. 1 Kansas State Wildcats, taking a 21-7 lead midway through the second quarter in Waco, Texas, on Saturday night.

Nick Florence led a 55-yard drive after a Kansas State punt, connecting on all three passes to move the Bears into the Wildcats' territory, with Glasco Martin pushing forward to convert a third down conversion at the K-State 26. The Wildcats appeared to stop the drive with a goal-line interception, but an offsides call extended the drive, giving the Bears another chance.

They made the most of it.

The Bears' quarterback connected with Terrance Williams on the next play for a 22-yard touchdown catch and run, giving Baylor a stunning two-touchdown lead in the second quarter.

Heisman-hopeful Collin Klein has had a rough start to the game, throwing an interception just two plays into the second quarter and gaining just 5 yards on five carries so far in the first half.
