Stanford vs. Oregon score update: Ducks and Cardinals tied, 7-7, at the half

No. 2 Oregon and No. 13 Stanford are tied, 7-7, at the half in a tightly-contested Pac-12 game..

Stanford drew first blood after a scoreless first quarter, thanks to quarterback Kevin Hogan's 1-yard run just past two minutes into the second quarter. The Ducks and Cardinal then traded punts before a series of turnovers by both teams after failed fourth-down conversions by each team.

After Hogan's pass intended for Ryan Hewitt fell short on fourth down inside Ducks' territory, Oregon quickly marched down the field on a three-play, 59-yard drive capped off by quarterback Marcus Mariota's 28-yard touchdown pass to a diving Keanon Lowe to tie the game.

Through two quarters, Oregon has out-gained Stanford by 18 yards (231-213) due in large part to another big performance by Mariota. The Ducks' quarterback is 11-of-17 for 115 yards with a touchdown and an interception. He added 71 yards rushing on five carries that was boosted by a 77-yard scramble.

Hogan is 15-of-23 for 118 yards and one interception.
