The Baylor Bears took advantage of another Collin Klein interception, needing just four plays to take a 35-17 lead over No. 1 Kansas State in the opening minutes of the third quarter.
The Wildcats had hoped to build on a strong finish to the first half, getting the ball to open the second half trailing 28-17 after scoring 10 points in the final two minutes on the second quarter. The Kansas State quarterback and Heisman-hopeful forced a pass on third down, however, with Baylor's Sam Holl intercepting Klein at the Baylor 44-yard line before returning the ball to deep within Wildcats' territory.
Baylor quarterback Nick Florence and the Bears rushing attack made Kansas State pay just four plays later, when running back Glasco Martin gave his team yet another commanding lead with a 4-yard touchdown run.
Klein is 14-of-23 for 149 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in the game so far, with both turnovers leading directly to Baylor touchdowns.
