Jeff Driskel has apparently recovered from his ankle injury, as he is slated to start this weekend.

Florida head coach Will Muschamp has announced that Jeff Driskel will start at quarterback for the Gators against the Florida State Seminoles, according to Mark Long. Earlier in the week, Muschamp told reporters that Driskel would definitely play, but it was not clear in what capacity.

The sophomore quarterback has been dealing with a sprained ankle that he suffered back on Nov. 10 against Louisiana-Lafayette. Driskel sat out last week against Jacksonville State, and Jacoby Brissett filled in.

The Florida offense has struggled recently, regardless of who's been under center. The Gators have averaged just 18.3 points in their last four games, and Florida State has one of the toughest defenses in the country. The Seminoles have allowed just 13.1 points per game.

Driskel's overall numbers this season have been solid. In ten games this season, the 6'4 quarterback has completed 64.6 percent of his passes, totaling 10 touchdowns against just three interceptions.
