Texas Longhorns' defensive end Alex Okafor had to leave the game against TCU midway through the first quarter after having his right ankle rolled up on by a lunging offensive lineman near the goal line. He tried to put weight on it, but required assistance from trainers to limp off the field after an injury time out. ESPN did show him on his feet minutes later, with Samantha Steele reporting he might be able to return.
Here's a look at the pileup that knocked him out (via ESPN):
Okafor leads Texas in tackles for loss and sacks, with three forced fumbles as well. With bookend Jackson Jeffcoat also already sidelined for the rest of the year, the Longhorns' pass rush could be in serious trouble, and that TCU running game that's looking promising early on could pick up even more momentum -- the Frogs have 70 yards on 11 carries already, with the latest a punch-in to give the visitors the 7-0 lead.
