Run, football, run.
And you thought the footballs trying to get away just happened at the professional level. Oh boy, there are amateur escape artist footballs too, y'all.
In a play best summed up as B1G, Ohio State ran into the Michigan kicker then muffed the punt and the football saw its opening.
Greased up like a Paula Deen Thanksgiving, the ball took advantage of the chaos on the field and rolled toward the end zone. It was given a little push by all the silly players, but was finally trapped by Michigan. The Wolverines capitalized on the Ohio State mistake, taking a 14-10 lead after a Devin Gardner sneak at the 1 yard line.
And then the ball got another crack at it in the fourth quarter.
This time it inched ever closer to the goal line. Just another bounce or two more and it would've made it for sure.
Like always, the players were stealing all the spotlight and the ball didn't get its chance to shine on the national stage. Better luck next time, ball. One of these days you'll finally make it.
