Karlos Williams brings the thunder

Steve Mitchell-US PRESSWIRE

There's no kind of hit like a big special teams hit.

Let's take a second to recognize Florida State special teams player Karlos Williams is Karlos with a K because that actually looks pretty fun and I like typing it. Try it a couple times. Karlos. KARLOS. That's nice.

The real story is the punishing hit he gave Loucheiz Purifoy on the kickoff following the long field goal that put the Seminoles up 20-13 on the Gators late in the third quarter.

Maybe that's a fine in the NFL. Maybe it's intent to harm. Maybe it's close to a penalty. I don't know. But it's definitely an old school, throw back type of hit that sums up this game perfectly. These two teams are in a grudge match, and there's an awful lot of pride on the line.
