Jake Roth-US PRESSWIRE
It'll be the San Diego State Aztecs and BYU Cougars facing each other in the eighth Poinsettia Bowl.
It's official: we know who will be taking on the BYU Cougars in the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl on Dec. 20: the San Diego State Aztecs.
The SDSU Football team has accepted an invitation to play Brigham Young in the @poinsettiabowl on Dec. 20 at Qualcomm Stadium. #Aztecs

BYU was destined for the game since before the season, assuming they became bowl-eligible. The Army Black Knights have the rights to the game next year, assuming they're bowl-eligible as well.
The Poinsettia Bowl is a relatively young postseason game, with just seven previous matchups. BYU has never appeared in the game and the Aztecs have appeared just once in their home town bowl; a 35-14 win over the Navy Midshipmen in the 2010 edition.
TV schedule: Dec. 20, 8 p.m. ET, ESPN
Locale: Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, Calif. Capacity: 66,000
My thoughts on the title sponsor's services: Credit unions are pretty neat, right?
Last year's score: TCU Horned Frogs 31, Louisiana Tech Bulldogs 24
