ACC considering extending offer to various SEC teams

Are you a fan of Auburn, Tennessee, Arkansas or Kentucky football? Don't everybody raise your hands all at once. The SEC is tough. It's not for everyone. Never you worry, I've found a new home for you.

Here in the ACC, we take all kinds. We let Boston College think they were a football team. We think Florida State's circus college and inflated expectations are kinda neat. We know what a 'Demon Deacon' is. We really don't care if you are fat or shirtless or have a little extra drawl.

And now, we're ready to keep on expanding. Suspend your disbelief for a second that this is a power play to just gain Kentucky basketball (that's what the big football boys want you to think). This is because we see potential in you.

You may believe the speech written on the Statue of Liberty is about immigrants. It's not. In fact, Emma Lazarus was a time-traveling fan of the ACC (we got that NYC market, now!). How else do you explain:

Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me
