Alabama vs. LSU update: Tigers cross midfield! Tigers SCORE!

LSU's offense has pretty much already accomplished more against Alabama in two drives than it did in the entire national title game, and they now lead the Tide, 3-0.

After their first drive against Alabama, LSU had 29 yards worth of offense. That's not a lot, but against Alabama it's pretty good for starters. It's great for the Tigers, who famously went almost the entire BCS National Championship Game against the Tide without crossing the 50-yard line. They have done just that, to the home crowd's delight (and then they did it AGAIN and KICKED A FIELD GOAL):

They've also forced a three-and-out and posted a nice punt return, which was damaged by a penalty. But hey! Good things are happening!

The Tigers are finding success both on the ground and through the air, with Jeremy Hill and Russell Shepard breaking nice runs to accompany a couple Kadron Boone catches. Michael Ford also has a gain on the ground, and if LSU's going to use the offense most have been calling for them to use (run, run, run, run, run, run, pass, run, etc.), we could have a game.

Hill has seven carries for 30 yards.
