Kenjon Barner and the Oregon Ducks won a wild scoring contest over Marqise Lee and the USC Trojans, as neither team could really stop the other on defense.
The Oregon Ducks needed every touchdown they could get to beat the USC Trojans, and they prevailed with a 62-51 victory that kept them one step closer to a BCS title date. Here are the video highlights.
It was a seesaw, back-and-forth affair that saw Oregon score first, and then hold onto the lead the rest of the way. The Ducks took an early 21-3 lead, saw the lead cut to three in the third quarter, but then pulled away with 21 of the next 28 points to hang on for the win.
Kenjon Barner had a career night, rushing for over 300 yards on the ground and nearly 350 yards from scrimmage while compiling five touchdowns, breaking the single-season record of LaMichael James. Marcus Mariota also had an incredible performance, throwing for over 300 yards on only 23 passes while completing 20 of those passes. For USC, Marqise Lee had another incredible game, racking up nearly 400 all-purpose yards on kickoff returns, and Matt Barkley (nearly 500 yards passing) and freshman Nelson Agholor (most receiving yards on USC or either team) also had their moments. Oregon piled up over 700 yards of offense, USC over 600.
Oregon and USC can still technically meet one more time at the Pac-12 Championship, particularly if both teams end up winning out and win their particular divisions.
