Maryland's Wes Brown, Stefon Diggs to miss Clemson game

The injuries continue to pile up for a battered Maryland football team, without two of their top offensive players this weekend.

The Maryland Terrapins may have the most injury-riddled offense in the country, and things will get worse on Saturday as wide receiver Stefon Diggs and running back Wes Brown will not play against the No. 13 Clemson Tigers. Both suffered ankle injuries last weekend, according to the Washington Times.

The Terps have already lost four quarterbacks for the season, and freshman linebacker Shawn Petty lined up under center against Georgia Tech. With Brown and Diggs out, Maryland will now be without two of its best offensive weapons.

Diggs has put up 721 yards and six touchdowns on 43 catches in six games as a freshman. He is also the team's primary kick returner, and has brought one back for a score this year. Brown leads the team with 90 carries for 382 yards and two touchdowns. He is the only running back on the team that has gained more than four yards per carry.

Clemson visits the Terrapins and their depleted offense on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET.
