Marvin Gentry-US PRESSWIRE
Alabama actually ran a fake punt (and it worked!) but the Crimson Tide picked up a delay of game penalty and let's just say the Bama head coach isn't thrilled.
Alabama isn't known for inventive play calls, risk taking or any of that new fangled 'spread offense' stuff. Nick Saban prefers to 'run the derned footbawl pawllllll.'
So, wouldn't you know it -- the time Bama actually gets crafty and runs a fake punt, it's called for a delay of game. It was the perfect play call, and it worked. But it was a split second too late. And naturally, Saban is a little bit upset.
He's already a scary dude. But when he starts hootin' and hollerin', he's downright terrifying. I can't imagine what would happen if someone at Jimmy John's got his Night Club order wrong. So help the sap who put tomatoes on when Saban clearly said no tomatoes. That poor guy is probably lying in a ditch somewhere.
