The Crimson Tide quarterback connected on a throw when it meant the most.
A.J. McCarron hasn't exactly looked stellar against Georgia in the SEC Championship. Part of it is the Georgia pressure, and part of it is just missing on short throws. Whether it's nerves or something else, McCarron was bailed out by his running backs for most of the game.
Until the play action finally worked out in the Crimson Tide's favor.
McCarron made a perfect throw to Amari Cooper for a 45-yard touchdown strike, putting Alabama up 32-28 on Georgia with 3:15 to play. And just like that, all his struggles have been forgotten.
