The Division II national title game will be televised on ESPN2 Saturday.
The undefeated Winston-Salem State Rams (14-0) will play the Valdosta State Blazers (11-2) for the Division II National Football Championship at 1 p.m. Saturday in Florence, Alabama. The game will be televised on ESPN2.
Winston-Salem advanced to the championship game after a 41-18 win over West Texas A&M last week. The team has been led this season by quarterback Kameron Smith, who has thrown for 3,042 yards with 42 touchdowns and nine interceptions. Running back has ran for 969 yards and nine touchdowns and two wide receivers, Jahuann Butler (1,167) and Jameze Massey (1,156) have more than 1,000 yards receiving.
Valdosta State advanced to the title game with a 35-18 win over Minnesota State-Mankato last week. Quarterback Cayden Cochran has passed for 2,601 yards, 25 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Running backs Cedric O'Neal and have combined to rush for more than 2,000 yards and have 22 combined touchdowns. Gerald Ford has 1,018 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns this season.
Valdosta State hasn't lost since the third week of the season.
