Hope you're hungry, Arizona State! The 7-5 Sun Devils and Todd Graham are reportedly headed to the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl. They'll draw Navy, which is 7-4 with a game against archrival Army still to go and is quarterbacked by versatile freshman Keenan Reynolds.
The Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl, previously known as the San Francisco Bowl, Diamond Walnut San Francisco Bowl and Emerald Bowl, has been around since 2002. In recent years, it has featured several close contests, as four of the last five games have been decided by seven points or fewer. Since the 2006 season, the Pac-12 has sent a participant in each year but one, with the exception being 2011. This year's game will feature a payout of $900,000.
TV schedule: Dec. 29, 4 p.m. ET, ESPN2
Locale: San Francisco, AT&T Park. Capacity: 40,184.
My thoughts on the title sponsor's services: Kraft gets a thumbs up for two reasons: The company makes every kid's favorite mac and cheese, and it is donating a meal for every ticket sold to each of three San Francisco charities. It's easy -- and proper -- to make fun of other bowl games for their stupid names and title sponsors, but this one gets a pass for doing some good.
Last year's score: Illinois 20, UCLA 14
