Florida State took the lead early in the first quarter with a Devonta Freeman three yard touchdown rush. The Seminoles went up 14-0 with a James Wilder 16 yard touchdown rush in the second quarter. After Georgia Tech added a field goal to make it 14-3, Wilder plunged it in from one yard out to make it 21-3.
Georgia Tech would add two field goals with a David Scully 47-yard field goal and a Chris Tanner 36-yard field goal. The Yellow Jackets would cut the lead to 21-15 with a fourth quarter drive punctuated by a Tevin Washington one yard rush.
