Brett Hundley and the UCLA Bruins will take on the Baylor Bears in the first meeting between the two teams in the Holiday Bowl.
The 2012 college football bowl season now focuses on the UCLA Bruins and Baylor Bears as the two teams meet for the first time in the Holiday Bowl in a game that features two exciting offensive units.
The UCLA Bruins found success with Jim Mora in his first year as their head coach, winning the Pac-12 South Division before coming up just short in the conference championship game against Stanford. For the Baylor Bears, the team won three straight games to finish the season at 7-5 and did so in impressive fashion, including a win over then No.1-ranked Kansas State and No. 23 Oklahoma State.
Instead of playing in the Rose Bowl, the Bruins have a different challenge and perhaps even a tougher one in the Baylor Bears, who feature a high octane offense. If Jim Mora's Bruins aren't prepared and focused from the start, it could be a laugher before they know it.
The Bears enter the Holiday Bowl having scored 40 or more points in five straight games and in 11 of 12 games this year. Meanwhile, the Bruins enter having lost a 27-24 game against Stanford on a missed field goal that would have sent the game to overtime.
SB Nation's UCLA blog, Bruins Nation, talks about Devin Lucien being ready to go while SB Nation's Baylor blog, Our Daily Bears, takes a statistical look at their opponent.
