This ... this was the greatest punt I've ever witnessed.
Duke punter Will Monday celebrated after this punt like he'd just run in a 79-yard interception return. Instead, he'd merely punted. It was a 79-yard punt that soared over the Cincinnati return man's head, skipped along the sideline just out of his reach, then skidded to a halt just shy of the goal line.
Every day should be Will Monday.
It was like watching a remote-controlled football, except no remote-controlled anything has ever behaved as well as this football did. Remote control things all suck and are useless. Maybe they're great now, but I was born in the 1980s, and we were lucky to have remote-controlled cars that weren't connected to the remote by a cord. That's not even remote. Didn't work at all, either.
Watch this football tiptoe like that Russian dancer (I don't have time to look up names here), then pull the E-brake just at the last moment. I'll just keep repeating things like that.
This is the most wonderful football play that has ever happened, and the Belk Bowl is dismissed now.
