We all expected Baylor to put up a ton of points against UCLA. We sort of expected the Bruins to retort in kind. We were right about one!
After 19 minutes of Holiday Bowl action, Baylor's up, 21-0, on UCLA. Nick Florence has completed all of five passes -- for 142 yards and two touchdowns. Plus he broke a 17-yard scramble for a first down.Antwan Goodley grabbed an eight-yard score, while Tevin Reese flashed down the sideline to bring in a 55-yard touchdown just moments ago. Oh, that one's above.
Basically, what happened is as follows:
UCLA is so concerned with Baylor's short game they are playing a bunch of press man and just getting killed by Baylor's receivers.

UCLA, meanwhile, has twice as many penalties (four) as first downs (two). That maligned (for good reason) Baylor defense has held Brett Hundley to 29 total yards and UCLA's imposing ground game to all of 10 yards.
And all this is before Lache Seastrunk really gets going, as Art Briles warned would happen at some point in this game. Whatcha got, UCLA? Anything?
