Syracuse quarterback Ryan Nassib got blasted by a blindside blitz, but bounced back to retake the field.
Ryan Nassib stepped off the field after getting hammered by West Virginia's Terence Garvin in the second quarter of the Pinstripe Bowl. He missed only a play, though at first the damage looked to be quite serious.
This has been a game with more defense than offense, due in large part to the wintry mix conditions afflicting both high-octane attacks. A surprise either way, considering how good these offenses are (and how non-good these defenses are).
Garvin actually was able to take advantage of Syracuse's play action, which required Nassib to turn his back to a greater degree than he would've on a regular dropback.
Speaking of defense, the West Virginia defense posted a goal line stand just after this. The West Virginia defense!
