The junior defensive end has declared for the draft after leading the Aggies in tackles.
Texas A&M defensive end Damontre Moore has declared for the 2013 NFL Draft, according to Joe Schad of ESPN.
The junior declares for early entry entry after a big season for the Aggies, leading Texas A&M in tackles (80) while finishing with 12.5 sacks and 20 tackles for loss. Named a first-team All-American by the Walter Camp Football Foundation, the Football Writers Association of America and ESPN, Moore became one of the top defensive players in the NCAA.
Moore is projected to likely go in the first round, a fact that likely played a big part in his decision to enter the draft early. Texas A&M has two other players, offensive tackles Luke Joeckel and Jake Matthews, who are also likely to declare for the NFL Draft in 2013.
No. 9 Texas A&M will play No. 11 Oklahoma on Friday in the AT&T Cotton Bowl, with kickoff set for 8 p.m. ET.
