USF will interview Clemson offensive coordinator Chad Morris for its vacant head coaching position according to multiple reports.

The South Florida Bulls will interview Clemson offensive coordinator Chad Morris for its vacant head coaching position, according to reports from Brett McMurphy of ESPN and Kirk Bohls of the Austin American-Statesman.

Under the direction of Morris, the Tigers offense was one of the best in the country. Clemson finished in the top 10 in scoring and total yards, averaging 42.3 points a game and 518.3 yards a game, which was good for sixth and ninth in the country, respectively. The 42.3 points a game also set a school record for most points scored in a season.

Before moving to Clemson, Morris held the same position as Tulsa for one season, leading a high-powered Golden Hurricane offense to top 10 rankings in both scoring and total yards.

Along with Morris, USF has interviewed Western Kentucky head coach Willie Taggart and San Jose State head coach Mike MacIntyre, who were both reported by SB Nation's own Steven Godfrey.

The new head coach will be replacing Skip Holtz, who was fired after going 16-21 in three seasons at the school, including a 3-9 record in his final year in Tampa.
