Pretty safe to say we overrated N.C. State's secondary. The Wolfpack entered Saturday No. 42 in pass defense, with preseason All-American David Amerson famously getting toasted by Tennessee on national TV in the season opener. And now this:
Miami QB Stephen Morris has thrown for 271 yards, and it is still the first quarter.

Receiver Rayshawn Scott has 142 yards already. Miami's treating N.C. State's defense like a practice squad. Considering the attendance, this perhaps need not be a surprise.
The good news for the Wolfpack is their own attack has gotten the ball moving as well, with Mike Glennon throwing for 147 of his own through 15 minutes and Tony Creecy running for 61. If things keep up, we'll hit 2,100 yards by the end of the game. Both teams are averaging better than 11 yards per snap.
Lest you think there's been no defense, Miami's also scored a safety.
