Recruiting giveth and taketh away for Derek Dooley.
Tennessee's Cordarrelle Patterson cut Georgia's lead to just 6 points (PATs are at a premium today) on an impressive 46-yard touchdown run late in the third quarter, reminding us again just how important that nasty recruiting business is in February.
Patterson was heavily recruited by the Dawgs (as well as a host of other SEC teams) before signing with UT out of junior college in February.
At the time, Patterson was considered a huge "get" for Vols head coach Derek Dooley, but, just as the recruiting gods smile upon your success, they taketh away:

That's Michael Bennett, the UGA receiver of touchdown catches of 8 and 32 yards in the third quarter alone, meaning that, so far, Derek Dooley's recruiting prowess is being outscored 13-7.
