Georgia running backs Keith Marshall and Todd Gurley compiled five touchdowns and nearly 300 rushing yards in a 51-44 victory over Tennessee.
The Georgia Bulldogs battled with the Tennessee Volunteers for four quarters in an offensive shootout before ultimately prevailing 51-44. They can thank their ground game for prevailing, as Todd Gurley and Keith Marshall combined for 294 rushing yards and five touchdowns.
Here are the video highlights from Saturday's game in Athens.
You'll see Gurley plunge it in early for two yards to give Georgia an early 7-0 lead. However, Georgia's Aaron Murray threw a wobbler that hung in the air and was picked off by Byron Moore to tie the game at 7-7. But then Marshall responded with a quick score on the next offensive play for Georgia, taking it all the way to the sideline before turning it upfield for 75 yards.
A Tyler Bray interception set up a Gurley 51 yard rushing gain to make it 27-10 Georgia, but Bray came right back and led Tennessee on three straight scoring drives (one aided by a short field off a Tennesse fumble) to give the Volunteers a 30-27 lead near the end of the first half (although the Bulldogs would tie things by halftime). Bray threw two touchdowns during this period.
In the second half Georgia got rolling again, starting with Murray's arm. Murray found Michael Bennett twice for eight and 32 yards to give Georgia a two touchdown lead. After Cordarrelle Patterson answered with a Tennessee touchdown, Marshall had his second 70+ yard rushing score to put Georgia up two touchdowns at the end of the third. Tennessee scored once in the fourth, but couldn't manage the second crucial score.
