The latest USA Today Sagarin Rankings have been released, and the ELO CHESS computer rankings, used in the official BCS rankings, see a trio of SEC schools atop the charts.
A week after the ELO CHESS standings had the Florida Gators as the top team, this week's ratings have LSU No. 1, with conference foes Alabama at No. 2 and the Gators at No. 3. The SEC actually has five teams in total in the top 10 of these computer rankings, with Georgia in the fourth slot and Steve Spurrier's South Carolina Gamecocks ranked seventh.
Here is this week's ELO CHESS top 10:
1. LSU Tigers
3. Florida Gators
5. Ohio State Buckeyes
7. South Carolina Gamecocks
9. Oregon Ducks
10. Florida State Seminoles
The first official BCS Rankings for 2012 will be released on Oct. 14, then weekly through Dec. 2.
