Not just throwing out a cliche either. I'm too stupid to understand pass interference if that isn't pass interference.
The receiver's looking back for the ball. The defender isn't. (Also, the receiver ends up blasted several feet out of bounds. Critical detail.)
NIU is hanging with Florida State so far in the Orange Bowl -- on the scoreboard, at least. Other than a 35-yard fake punt, the Huskies haven't gotten a whole lot going. A first down here due to a penalty might've meant a Huskies touchdown, tying it up instead of forcing NIU to settle for a field goal.
