Jerry Sandusky lawyers again arguing he didn't get a fair trial

Sandusky's lawyers say they did not have ample time to digest all of the information presented to them by the prosecution during last summer's trial.

Former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky's lawyers contend their client did not receive a fair trial last summer. They argue that they did not have enough time to digest material presented to them and do the necessary research for the defense of their client.

"Counsel had no time to review the aforesaid material in search of persons who could testify to the poor reputation for truthfulness on the part of any of the complainants, any alibi, or any connection between the complainants that would impair their credibility," Sandusky's attorneys argued.

At a hearing on Thursday, the judge who sentenced Sandusky -- John Cleland -- will hear the case from Sandusky's lawyers as they attempt to get a new trial for their client.

In June of 2012, a jury found Sandusky guilty on 45 counts, including eight counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse. He was sentenced to 60 years in prison.
