Virginia Tech quarterback Logan Thomas will decide whether or not to return to college on Tuesday.
Virginia Tech Hokies quarterback Logan Thomas will put out a press release about his future on Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET. Thomas, who is a redshirt junior, is mulling a decision to enter the 2013 NFL Draft or return for his senior season.
According to SB Nation's Dan Kadar, Thomas would be the 12th-best quarterback prospect in the draft were he to announce his intention to go pro. That would make it unlikely for Thomas to be selected on the first day of the draft.
Thomas finished the 2012 season with 2,976 yards passing, with 18 touchdowns and 16 interceptions; he also ran for 527 yards and nine scores. The year ultimately went down as disappointment for Thomas, who was considered a potential first-team All-ACC player in the preseason by some media members.
The Hokies announced Monday that they hired Scot Loeffler to be the team's new offensive coordinator, which could have some impact on what Thomas ultimately decides to do.
