A trip to the Sun Bowl generally wouldn't be a memorable occasion for the USC football program, but events outside the game have brought plenty of attention.
The USC Trojans didn't really hide the fact that they were disappointed with a trip to the Sun Bowl after entering the year as the preseason No. 1, and it appears some of that frustration boiled into a locker room brawl after the team's 21-17 loss to Georgia Tech. Somewhere between 10 to 15 players may have been involved after some seniors were called out for their effort, according to the LA Daily News.
This isn't the first that has leaked about the fight, as USC grad Heather Brittany tweeted about the incident on New Year's Day (h/t to The Big Lead):
Wow. Hearing that Mcdonald and Tony Burnett got into it... Which then basically turned into the whole team throwing blows. Heartbreaking.

T.J. McDonald immediately refuted the rumor:
Just to clarify, those rumors about our locker room are false, n if u don't believe me over a "source"...smh

USC's trip to the Sun Bowl was nothing short of a mess before the fight occurred. The team showed up over 90 minutes late to dinner with Georgia Tech, and players were forced to apologize for disparaging marks made about the host city, El Paso, Texas.
