EA Sports opens the selection of its cover model to the public, and we get what we always wanted from it: A Michigan-Alabama rematch.

As of January 25, Michigan and Alabama lead the EA Sports NCAA Football 2014 cover contest with approximately 16,000 votes each. Texas A&M is currently third in voting, with 11,000 votes. Oregon is at 7,000 votes so far, with Florida State in fifth with 5,000 votes. Ohio State and Georgia each have 3,000, and Notre Dame is last with 2,000 votes so far.

EA Sports, the video game company behind the NCAA Football series, opened the selection of their cover model to a Facebook vote this year. The field of potential teams was narrowed to eight earlier this week.

Many video game fans are speculating as to who are featured in the silhouettes on EA Sports' vote graphic. The soon-to-be-graduated Denard Robinson is the likely Michigan representative. Eddie Lacy is the likely representative for Alabama. Florida State's E.J. Manuel and Oregon's Kenjon Barner are also possible cover candidates. EA Sports did make some waves by posting an actual picture of Manti Te'o's girlfriend as Notre Dame's representative.

Given the results of last year's game, analysts are expecting Alabama to score the next 25,000 votes en route to a comfortable 41,000-16,000 victory over the Wolverines.
