Bill O'Brien's interest in a handful of NFL vacancies will be just that, as reports late Thursday night indicate the Penn State head coach will remain with the Nittany Lions.
Update: Count it. The man himself, via David Jones, who also reports O'Brien will get a 50 percent raise, up to $3.6 million:
"I'm not a one-and-done guy," said O'Brien. "I made a commitment to these players at Penn State and that's what I am going to do. I'm not gonna cut and run after one year, that's for sure."
Penn State Nittany Lions head coach Bill O'Brien, whose name had been tossed around many of the current vacant NFL head coaching openings, will not pursue any NFL jobs and will remain with Penn State, according to multiple reports.
Among the first reports was one by PhiladelphiaEagles.com's Adam Caplan, who said O'Brien will remain at the school despite interviewing for the Philadelphia Eagles' vacant coaching gig on Thursday. O'Brien also interviewed with the Cleveland Browns. The San Diego Chargers were also reportedly interested in O'Brien as a possible coach.
Biggest win of season for Penn St. It was so afraid Bill O'Brien was leaving, it had started to contact coaching candidates.

O'Brien led Penn State to an 8-4 record in his first year with the Nittany Lions despite NCAA sanctions that made Penn State ineligible for postseason play. He replaced Joe Paterno at Penn State after serving most recently as the offensive coordinator with the New England Patriots. For his job at Penn State, O'Brien was up for a bevy of postseason coaching awards in the face of the NCAA scrutiny after the fallout of the scandal that rocked Penn State.
All eyes now turn to Oregon's Chip Kelly, who's reportedly up for pretty much the same list of jobs.
