Ryan Swope okay after appearing to injure ankle in Cotton Bowl

FOX

The Aggies' all-time leading receiver landed in awkward fashion.

Update: He's fine.

Ryan Swope appeared to hurt his ankle just before halftime in the Cotton Bowl against Oklahoma. He skied to try and bring in a Johnny Manziel pass, but contact from a Sooners defender caused his ankle to appear to suffer an unnatural landing.

After the impact, the senior slumped over onto the turf -- it was clear right away something was wrong, and even looked like he might've somehow hurt his head at first, but after looking at it, the ankle seems more likely. He made it off the field, where he was surrounded by so many A&M personnel members and teammates it was difficult to even see him.

Swope is A&M's all-time leading receiver, entering the game with 809 yards and seven touchdowns on the year. In this game, he has four catches for 38 yards.

We'll update with more on his status as soon as it's made available.
