The BCS National Championship point spread stretched to 10 points Friday, but it's Alabama vs. Notre Dame prop betting odds that are attracting a burst of attention before the big game.
If you think A.J. McCarron will throw for more than 220 yards against the Notre Dame defense Monday, you have a safe bet. If you think Alabama running back Eddie Lacy will gain 91 yards or more on the ground, there is another wager.
Prop bets on the BCS championship game between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish were posted at several sportsbooks Friday. As with the Super Bowl, where a single wager on the final score never seems like enough for such a big game, oddsmakers provide plenty of tempting wagering product.
Bovada saw the point spread climb to 10 points favoring the defending champion Tide on Friday, with a total hovering around 40.5. But prop bets were generating the most hype. Check out the full list of current BCS props, with a sampling listed below.
