Stanford Cardinal tight end Zach Ertz will enter the 2013 NFL Draft. Ertz led the Cardinal with 69 receptions, 898 receiving yards and six receiving touchdowns. Prior to this season, he had caught a total of 43 passes for 536 yards.
Ertz had 100 yards receiving or more in three games this year, and he had a season-high 11 receptions against Oregon in November. He finished his Stanford career with three grabs for 61 yards in the Cardinal's Rose Bowl victory over Wisconsin.
Mocking The Draft's Dan Kadar believes Ertz is the second-best tight end prospect in the draft, behind only Notre Dame's Tyler Eifert. Kadar also thinks that Ertz could potentially be selected in the first round.
The Cardinal did receive some good news on the draft front recently, as defensive lineman Ben Gardner and linebackers Shayne Skov and Trent Murphy announced that they would be returning to school. Skov led the team with 80 tackles in 2012, while Gardner and Murphy combined for 17.5 sacks.
