Here's video of the BCS title game national anthem that was performed by the Zac Brown Band.
The 2013 BCS title game between Notre Dame and Alabama kicked off with the customary national anthem that pretty much kicks off every American sporting event. This year the honors went to the Zac Brown Band, a Southern rock and country band based out of Atlanta. Four of the seven members will be singing: Lead vocalist and guitarist Zac Brown, Clay Cook (who can perform on guitar, keyboards, mandolin, steel guitar and vocals), Jimmy De Martini (fiddle and vocals), and Johnny Hopkins (bass guitar and vocals) get the call tonight.
The band is well-regarded in the world of country music. They have managed to hit the top of the Billboard country singles charts on a number of occasions. They've received many awards nominations from various shows, eventually picking up two Grammys for their excellent body of work.
Here is the video of their anthem performance at Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens. Other than a lack of harmony, it was pretty good!
Here are some anthem reactions.
