No. 1 Alabama 38, No. 13 LSU 17 | Full Recap
LSU fumbled away a couple of chances to score points early, and that's exactly the kind of thing that comes back to haunt you against Alabama. The Crimson Tide pulled away in the fourth quarter on the strength of its bruising ground game, led by T.J. Yeldon's 133 rushing yards and pair of touchdowns. Meanwhile, LSU could muster very little on the ground, picking up just 1.4 yards per rush. Alabama has now dispatched with the only real threat standing between it and a game with Auburn on Nov. 30 that will determine the winner of the SEC West.
No. 2 Florida State 59, Wake Forest 3 | Full Recap
Florida State celebrated its suddenly clear path to the BCS National Championship by beating the living daylights out of Wake Forest. At one point in the second half, FSU had twice as many interceptions as Wake Forest had completions, and the FSU defense scored on two consecutive plays from scrimmage in the victory. Famous Jameis Winston had a quiet day, but it's hard to make noise when your defense is making all the big plays for itself.
No. 5 Stanford 26, No. 3 Oregon 20 (Thurs.) | Full Recap
The game of the week — at least until further notice, but it'll probably hold up through the night — saw Stanford shut the Duck offense down for nearly the entire game, then hold on for dear life down the stretch. With that, Oregon's title dreams are effectively dead, and Stanford can wonder what might have been. Tyler Gaffney was unstoppable in the win, logging 45 (!) carries for 157 yards, a touchdown and 14 total first downs.
No. 6 Baylor 41, No. 10 Oklahoma 12 (Thurs.) | Full Recap
Baylor also announced its intentions to challenge for the BCS National Championship by laying waste to visiting Oklahoma on Thursday night. Oklahoma couldn't move the ball with any sort of competency, and Baylor shook off a slow start and injuries, including one to star tailback Lache Seastrunk, to pull away from the visiting Sooners.
No. 8 Missouri 48, Kentucky 17 | Full Recap
Mizzou WR Dorial Green-Beckham was the star of the show in this one, grabbing four touchdowns, including this ridiculous score. The Tigers move to 9-1 (5-1) on the season and still control their destiny for a SEC Championship berth.
No. 9 Auburn 55, Tennessee 23 | Full Recap
Auburn weathered a feisty effort from Tennessee in the first half and pulled away for the big win. QB Nick Marshall shredded Tennessee's defense for 214 yards rushing, and RB Tre Mason registered his second straight season with over 1,000 yards rushing in the win.
Virginia Tech 42, No. 11 Miami 24 | Full Recap
Pouring rain and a pretty strong Miami defense seemed an unlikely setting for Logan Thomas to put together the best game of his career, but that's exactly what he did. Thomas' 25-for-31, 366-yard, two-touchdown performance guided the Hokies to their greatest total yards output since 2010. The result of this game means that the ACC Coastal is a jumbled mess. Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, Miami and Duke each have a pair of conference losses.
No. 14 Oklahoma State 42, Kansas 6 | Full Recap
OSU opened up a 28-0 lead on Kansas before the half and never looked back in the Cowboys' easiest win of the Big 12 slate. Clint Chelf threw for three scores in the win, and OSU's defense harassed KU into a 10-for-25, 114-yard performance with one interception.
No. 16 Fresno State 48, Wyoming 10 | Full Recap
Wyoming looked upset-minded early on, taking a 10-0 lead early in the second quarter, but Fresno State responded in dominating fashion, with 48 unanswered points (including 34 in the second half) en route to their ninth straight win. Derek Carr led the way for the Bulldogs, with 360 yards passing and four touchdowns.
No. 19 UCLA 31, Arizona 26 | Full Recap
The Pac-12 is a tough place to try and win road games, and UCLA proved that Saturday night — the Bruins played quite well in Tucson, but Arizona stuck around and nearly pulled off the upset. Brett Hundley threw for two touchdowns — both to Shaquelle Evans — while the Bruins' defense held the dynamic Arizona rushing game to just one touchdown in the 31-26 win. UCLA moves to 4-2 in conference play, good for second in the South division, while Arizona stands at fourth with their 3-3 record.
No. 15 Texas A&M 51, Mississippi State 41 | Full Recap
In A&M's last home game of the season — and perhaps Johnny Manziel's last career performance at Kyle Field — Manziel threw for five touchdowns and 446 yards in a slugfest with visiting Mississippi State. Don't let the score fool you; A&M dominated this game.
No. 20 Louisville 31, Connecticut 10 (Fri.) | Full Recap
Louisville coasted to an easy win over the bumbling Huskies, blocking a punt for a score and taking a pick to the house as well. The Cardinal offense stalled out a little too often, and over 100 yards in penalties didn't help, but UConn didn't even belong on the same field.
No. 21 UCF 19, Houston 14 | Full Recap
Houston was seven yards away from getting into the end zone with 14 seconds left on the clock and sending the AAC standings into complete chaos. Instead, John O'Korn's would-be touchdown pass to Kent Brooks was batted away, and UCF took over on downs. With the win, UCF retains control of its own destiny in the AAC and can get to a BCS bowl with wins over Temple, Rutgers, USF and SMU.
No. 22 Arizona State 20, Utah 19 | Full Recap
Arizona State kept its Pac-12 South lead intact with a wild rally at Utah. ASU scored 13 points in the last quarter, including a go-ahead touchdown with only 2:37 left on the clock.
Pitt 28, No. 23 Notre Dame 21
Notre Dame moved the ball pretty well against Pitt, but the Fighting Irish turned the ball over three times, once inside Pitt's 10-yard line. Notre Dame's final turnover of the game was on downs and clinched the upset win for Pitt. Tommy Rees' pass to DaVaris Daniels was knocked away, and the Panthers took over.
No. 24 Wisconsin 27, BYU 17 | Full Recap
Wisconsin moved to 7-2 on the season with a comfortable win over bowl-bound BYU at Camp Randall. James White had one of the best games of his career with 194 total yards from scrimmage and three touchdowns, and BYU was down by double digits throughout the second half.
Kansas State 49, No. 25 Texas Tech 26 | Full Recap
Kansas State demolished Texas Tech in front of a stunned crowd in Lubbock as the Wildcats dominated on the ground (291 yards, five TDs) and in the turnover game (three takeaways, zero giveaways). TTU has now lost three straight, with Baylor up next.
Vanderbilt 34, Florida 17 | Full Recap
Will Muschamp's seat is suddenly boiling-lava hot after Florida got throttled at home by mediocre Vanderbilt. Florida's woes stemmed from four turnovers (and none taken away), and without any playmakers on offense, that's just no way to win in the SEC.
Ole Miss 34, Arkansas 24 | Full Recap
Bo Wallace bombed on the Razorback secondary with 407 yards and three touchdowns in the Rebels' victory, and with the win Ole Miss will be heading to a bowl game. Kudos to Hugh Freeze for keeping his young team playing at a high level.
Minnesota 24, Penn State 10 | Full Recap
The Golden Gophers' breakout season continues with yet another legitimate win, this time coming against a solid visiting Penn State team. Philip Nelson led the Gophers with 186 yards passing and two total touchdowns, and the 8-2 Gophers are a good candidate to crack the Top 25 this week.
Nebraska 17, Michigan 13 | Full Recap
The Nebraska Cornhuskers put together one of their best defensive performances of the season and delivered the first home loss of Brady Hoke's Michigan career. With the win, Nebraska still controls its own destiny as it heads toward a Legends Division showdown with Michigan State.
USC 62, California 28 | Full Recap
USC continued its march back toward relevance in the Pac-12 South by crushing California. Nelson Agholor returned two punts for touchdowns, and the Trojans blocked another punt for a third score, tying the NCAA record. Also, both Javorius Allen and Ty Isaac rushed for a pair of scores in the win.
