Georgia vs. Auburn betting trends and odds: Tight game expected for ranked SEC foes

Jim Brown-USA TODAY Sports

Auburn hosts Georgia, and Vegas is expecting a close game between two conference-title hopefuls.

No. 9 Auburn hosts No. 25 Georgia Saturday afternoon in a marquee showdown between SEC foes. The Tigers have been one of the surprise teams of the season, and the Bulldogs have dealt with repeated injuries and disappointment. Both teams will have a chance to prove themselves Saturday in Auburn.

The line started with Auburn as a three-point favorite and has since moved only slightly in favor of the Tigers, who are favored by either 3.5 or four points, depending on the book.

The over/under is 62.5 points for the game, and the Bulldogs have hit the over in eight of their last 11 contests.

Georgia has struggled in its last seven games on the road, with a 1-5-1 record against-the-spread. As a home favorite, Auburn is 23-2 straight-up in its last 25 contests.

The Bulldogs have won six of the last seven matchups between the two schools, but the teams have split the spread over the last 16 games, each covering eight times.
